2007年起，CNEX每年設定一個主題，在大中華地區徵集紀錄片方案。由2007年的"錢"到2011年的"青春與公民"，收集並保存真實地反映社會的影像和故事。

Since 2007, CNEX has created annually a theme for calling for documentary proposals from the Greater China area. This is the key method to collect and preserve symptomatic real images and stories for our next generation. The themes include: 'Money" (2007), "Dreams and Hopes" (2008), "Next Generation's Homeland" (2009), "Crisis and Transformation" (2010), "Youth and Citizenship" (2011)...

How does CNEX create the theme for indexing the contemporary social current and undercurrent in Chinese societies? What are the insights behind the theme and the documentaries produced by CNEX in its first 5 years? What are the criteria for the final selection?
